Adelphi aims to provide a full service to our customers. The translation itself is just a part of this service.

Quality and timing is paramount to the translation service that Adelphi provide. To this end we have put in place a system to assure these factors are met.

Adelphi can translate over 120 different languages. We also specialise in translating rare and difficult languages, which means we can provide one point of contact for any language enquiry.

Adelphi's Quality Assurance

Adelphi is a member of the Association of Translation Companies (ATC). The ATC require member companies to adhere to a strict code of professional conduct, are subject to the rulings of a professional ethics committee and carry full professional indemnity insurance cover to safeguard the interests of the translation purchaser.

Adelphi ensures that all our translators are professional and work only into their mother tongue. This ensures accuracy. All our translators are members of either the Institute of Linguists or the Institute of Translations & Interpreters. They will also have a minimum of three years experience in professional translation. Your project is matched to the most suitable translator with the relevant expertise to translate your document.

A glossary of Industry specific terminologies can be created where appropriate and the translations of these terms approved before the main translation is carried out. This will ensure accuracy and consistency, especially when large projects require more than one translator to work on them.

Translation Memory tools such as Trados and SDL can also be used to help with glossaries as well as to reduce the cost of repeated translations with the creation of a translation memory for the project.

All translations are proofread by the translator but for those extra important publications we can provide a second independent proof-reader to check it again.

Adelphi can provide a sample 200 word translation. This will allow you to see the quality of our work and check that the writing style of the translator is suitable to your project.
