	Typesetting & Print
	Typesetting foreign languages can be a complex process. The world's languages use a variety of scripts, not all of which are easy to handle in modern publishing software. Some texts, such as Arabic, Hebrew, Dari, Urdu and Farsi are read right-to-left but can include 'Latin' numbers and text running left-to-right. Others use exotic scripts with a limited number of fonts available, sych as Tamil, Amharic, Thai, Armenian and others - many of which will not work correctly in standard typesetting software. The problems can be compounded when there is a mixture of scripts within the same document, such as brochures and booklets created for asylum seekers speaking a wide variety of languages. Adelphi is expert at handling such multilingual projects and can produce documents which can be printed in this country by your own printer without worrying about exotic fonts either by producing print-ready PDFs or outlined-EPS files. We work in a variety of formats and software including InDesign ME, QuarkXpress and Microsoft Publisher.
	Website Translation
	Website Translation is a speciality of Adelphi Translations. The translation of websites is a complex process which can involve static HTML or XHTML pages, database text, images with text and other media such as Flash movies and voice-recordings. Adelphi can take your existing English site and convert all of its elements into any language required. Our knowledge of website technologies and languages allows us to design and implement websites of any size and complexity from scratch, making them easy to localise and convert to foreign languages. We can handle all kinds of webfiles including XML, PHP, ASP, .NET etc.....
	Voice Recording
	Voice Recording at Adelphi is carried out in our in-house digital recording studio. There are examples of the voices we use in our Multimedia Portfolio. We have done voice recording projects for DVDs, Public Information CDs, Flash movie soundtracks and Interactive learning software. We can provide different levels of voice artistes, from the 'celebrity or professional' to our own very competent, but much cheaper, local artistes! So we can always find the voice to suit your project and budget. We can deliver a wide range of formats suitable for different delivery methods, for eaxmple, PCM (Uncompressed), WAV (Microsoft and IBM), MP3 (MPEG), and AIFF (Apple Macintosh). The sample rate and bit rate can be varied to suit the end use.
